The SGM6612A is a 20V synchronous boost converter on an Avalon hash board. It is a gate driver built in for load disconnection to disconnect the output on the input side in case of shutdown or output short circuit. When the output is shorted and short-circuit protection is triggered, the device goes into hiccup mode for safety. In addition, the device provides output overvoltage protection, inductor current limit protection, and thermal shutdown protection. The device integrates a 15-mΩ low-side power switch and a 15-mΩ high-side power switch, providing a high-efficiency, small-size power solution for portable equipment.
